  • I am not Superwoman :(

    My loyal blog followers:

I’ve been rather slow with the blog updates this week. My apologies. I’m sure all of you wait with bated breath for my new blog posts, eager to see what words of wisdom and inspiration I might impart on you. I’m sorry to have disappointed you.

My creative spirit hasn’t been very strong this week. Okay, I’ll be honest. My creative spirit was run over by a Mack track and left for road kill. Why?

    Let’s see….

My husband is walking around – actually not walking around too much – on crutches with a broken foot. But wait.  It gets better. My baby broke his wrist this week and now has a miserable little baby cast. That’s right – two members of my family with broken bones. I am ready to wrap my other two boys in bubble wrap lest they decide to join the “broken family member” club. I wont even let them ride their bikes outside in fear they might hurt themselves and child protective services comes knocking on my door.

I am merely a mortal woman.  Regrettably, I am not blessed with special powers. I put in 8-10 hours a day on my day job. I then have to put food on the table, entertain my children, bathe them, make sure they brush their teeth, read them stories, and (hopefully) get them to bed on time. Then I need to clean my kitchen, do laundry….you get the picture.

And sleep. I would love to get eight hours. Stop. Laughing.

Did I mention I have a broken husband and baby?

Sadly, I was not able to update the blog this week, nor was I able to work on editing the book this week.  I think I’m entitled to a pass.

I’m working on some riveting blog posts for the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
